Hinterland
The community centre is proposed to keep the legacy of the demolished urban village, and to create a democratic space for Shenzhen. Built right upon the demolition site, the elevated floor of the community centre is used as a library, at the same time it keeps the archive of the throwaway items of the old residents. The ground floor area is an open space used as a market, which gives the space back to public.
