Proposed from the Chinese phenomenon of Shanzhai, the Cantonese slang term for fakery to the point of parody, the project investigates the deaths of factory workers, gualaosi and the pilot Free Trade Zone in Shanghai which can save them, creating an arbitration zone for abused workers, replacing the typology of the monumentality of typical law architecture with the syntax of a traditional Chinese garden.  C.P.
